I was given a prescription and enough syringes to inject myself. Because most doctors and I disagree on what is considered normal levels of B12 (I'm gastric-bypass), I had to find another source of B12. That was when I found out that Injectable B12 is considered a regular vitamin like oral B12. That is why I started purchasing it from Canada. As a gastric-bypass patient I do not absorb from 30 to 50% of all vitamins, foods, and medications.... which makes me very difficult to treat. MOST physicians do not understand this concept. I feel incredibly blessed to have found a pain physician who does understand it; although my pcp only *slightly* comprehends it. She doesn't like me doing the B12 thing.... just wait until she has to deal with my ferritin levels............. kathy ****************************************** " We will always remember.
