writing a snail mail letter, having my doctor write a snail mail letter on my

behalf.... It is now beyond two years and I have yet to hear from them. They

completely ignore me. I'd sure like an answer from someone as to what the

problem is.

Dr was one of the two doctors who called in the CDC for the Incline

Village epidemic of CFS (the one the CDC still refers to as the " Lake Tahoe

outbreak " - Lake Tahoe - specifically the ski slopes - is where the CDC

" investigators " spent their week & taxpayers money, never evenn meeting a

patient and only looking at charts one afternoon when Drs. Cheney and

cornered them in their hotel room.)

 

He is definitely legit, caring and thorough. But as you found, he is overwhelmed

.. I can't explain why his office won't answer, especially after a referral from

your doctor. But I would still try to get an appointment. Or if they can't see

you, get a good referral to someone who also specializes in CFS.

 

IMO most of the  time DOs are more likely than MDs to give full attention to

your CFS, and to stay with you over the years. A lot of MDs now practice

mass-production medicine where everything is based on lab results and the

problem should be fixed with one or two prescriptions and no follow-up. Get

ready for more of that if the US goes to socialized medicine by whatever name.
