Guest guest
I TOO, GET OVERHEATED WITH EXERTION. IT DOES'T TAKE MUCH EXERTION. DO YOU HAVE CFIDS AS WELL AS FMS?( CHRONIC FATIGUE IMMUNE DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME) . i HAVE BOTH AND HAVE ALWAYS ATTRIBUTED THE OVERHEATING TO THE CFIDS HYPOTHALMUS DYSREGULATION. ( the hypothalmus CONTROLS ONE'S TEMPERATURE). oVERHEATED IN THE SUMMER MONTHS AND FREEZING IN THE WINTER MONTHS. (SEATTLE AREA). aLSO, HAVE AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITIS BUT HAVE BEEN ON SYNTHROID AND GETTING PERIODIC TSH'S DONE SINCE 1991. BUT THE TSH DOESN;T INDICATE HYPOTHALMUS FUNCTIONING. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE HEAT REALLY BOTHERS ME THIS SUMMER AND IT HASN'T BEEN THAT HOT-77-80 DEGREES. I AM POST MENOPAUSAL AND I THINK THAT IS SOME OF IT TOO. And it's the middle of winter over here in Australia. Probably not very cold by international standards, but it feels pretty freezing to me, lol. I've definitely noticed that in recent years the slightest exertion will overheat me massively. Something as small as standing up for a little while can do it. When I first started getting really ill, I would be in the shops and complain to myself that their airconditioning sucked, because I was so hot. I didn't realise it was actually me. And I wasn't even 30 yet then, so I don't think it was hot flashes! I think maybe it has to do with the whole autonomic system dysfunction thing, but don't quote me on that. take care, ness. This is so me too!! I barely have to walk across a room sometimes and I am dripping sweat into my eyes! My entire head, neck and chest gets soaked! I honestly thought something was drastically wrong with my hormones but I had a total hyst (no ovaries) at 35 and that was 15 years ago and I have been on ERT since, so??? I find it really interferes with my life, I cannot get dressed sometimes because my clothes get wet. Don't bother trying to do hair and makeup - it is hard to leave the house when you look like you just stepped out of the shower, ya know? I sure wish someone would have some advice for us as to anything that might help stop this, we don't need anymore " disabling " symptoms now do we??? At least it is nice to finally see that I am not the only one with this problem! Hugs, Suzanne, " Sweaty in Streamwood "
Guest guest
Hi new here I am 47. I too sweat alot when I do things, I have to go and sit down for awile. My doctor if you want to call him that, said it was just my age and menopause, but I disagree with that, it is not a hot flash, it's happens with exertion. Any advice. Thanks Robyn > > I seem to sweat a lot since getting this so think may be linked. I sweated more tidying son's room than a whole curves workout previously! > ------------------ >
