Guest guest
Hi Jayne, Your email's sentiments are so inspiring I have copied them and printed them out to remember that little steps get you there too, it just takes longer. Taffy <<I absolutely agree! Concentrating on what is achievable rather than continuously mourning what is not is a much less dismal way to live (if not always 100% attainable). If the summit is a full time job and doing my own housekeeping and still having energy for a social life, I'll never get there. For me, base camp is being able to look after my own needs again. Now that I've (re)conquered washing my own hair and showering (but not at the same time), and am fairly stable at cooking for myself (and occasionally the family), I am aiming toward driving myself to the grocery store and library (even though I'll still have to depend on one of the kids to push my chair into the building). It has taken me 2 full years to get back this much independence, and might be another year before I'm comfortable driving for more than five minutes, but it is really good to see those tiny signs of progress towards 'base camp'.>> " And the consequence of our existence Is the reason for our being.
