Guest guest
Well, my kids often have weird smelling pee, and they both tested positive for mercury with home tests. Now my 4-year-old's urine, as of earlier this week, is mercury-free. And it's true that I'm not noticing an odor from her urine at the moment. However, mercury is not supposed to have a smell. So if there is a smell and if it is mercury-related (which I have no reason other than anecdotal evidence to think it is), maybe it's from something else--for example, mercury could suppress the immune system and make it easier to develop an infection, and the infection could cause the smell. I don't know if that helps... :-)Bonnie I'm new to this group. I'll post an intro in a separate piece. When kids have mercury in their system, does their pee smell weird? Guest guest
Odd urine smells are usually yeast, ammonia, vitamin or fatty acid imbalances, etc. All of these can be caused my mercury toxicity.... > > > > > > Well, we had our doctor's office redo my DD's mercury urine > > test...and their > > > results show no mercury in her urine. Guest guest
" Odd urine smells are usually yeast, ammonia, vitamin or fatty acid imbalances, etc. All of these can be caused my mercury toxicity.... " Thanks for the tip here. My daughter's urine either smells like amonia or some putrid smell (don't really know how to describe that one). I do know that after raising five kids, living with a spouse, and seeing my own urine my whole life, urine should not have a strong/weird/offensive smell ;o)
Guest guest
Yucca is supposed to be good for ammonia, dandelion is a general kidney tonic. I think the HerbPharm's Healthy Liver tonic is really good -- both for kidneys and liver. > > " Odd urine smells are usually yeast, ammonia, vitamin or fatty acid > imbalances, etc. All of these can be caused my mercury toxicity.... Guest guest
- I would like to add to this. My son also has toxicity, mercury, lead etc... He has the worst smelling urine and as weird as this is going to sound, he has to have acid in his urine or something that breaks down the enamel in the toilet seats. We go through a toilet seat about every 4 months. I raised two other children and this never happened. Also it only happens to the toilet seats he uses. We are about to start chelation which I am sure will help but I just wish I knew what is causing this.-- In miralax , Jeanie Ward wrote: > > I say weird smelling poops and urine, only happend here, after Miralax...............never could figure it out............... > > mommtlc wrote: Odd urine smells are usually yeast, ammonia, vitamin or fatty acid > imbalances, etc. All of these can be caused my mercury toxicity.... > > > > > > > > > > Well, we had our doctor's office redo my DD's mercury urine > > > test...and their > > > > results show no mercury in her urine. Guest guest
-- I ask my son those same questions and get the same answers. Also, I have brought it up to the doctors and we have done extensive lab work but noone has an answer for this.- In miralax , " littlelief " wrote: > > Poor guy! Guest guest
Read previous posts about calcium oxalate crystals and oxalic acid. My guess is your son is breaking down the CaO2. What are you supplementing with now? Have you measured his first morning urine PH? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Well, we had our doctor's office redo my DD's mercury > urine > > > > > > test...and their > > > > > > > results show no mercury in her urine.
