Smoke-out update

Day 3

Cigarettes 0

So far, so good. I went to a festival today and didn't even think about

lighting up until we stopped to eat. It wasn't too bad though. Wyatt kept

me running from exhibit to exhibit so my mind was on other things. Nobody

has noticed that I am not smoking yet. This amazes me. But if I would light

up, they would be the first to notice that. Oh well. My sister has a great

recipe for a light dressing for fresh veggies that I want to ask for. She is

at a wedding tonight, so I'll ask her tomorrow. I was invited to the

wedding, but opted out. Sitting in a smoke filled room with a bunch of

drunken fools would definitely not be the best place for me right now.

Besides, my feet and legs are hurting pretty bad tonight. I took a pain pill

and I am starting to feel it. Knees are still hurting though. Not as bad as

I know that they can, but they still hurt. We had some thunderstorms come

through the area earlier and I swear that I could have predicted them

yesterday. Just couldn't sleep. Not really from pain, but just kind of

restless. Couldn't stay still for very long.

Anyway, I did not smoke today. So I have accomplished something. The

smoking links are really great. I love the one about the first 2 weeks. It

put a lot of things into place and let me know what is coming my way. Good

and bad. Not really bad, but just not good. Eventually though, it will all

be good. Can't wait to start coughing up all of that loose tar. LOL. It

will at least be a sign that I can see that my body is becoming healthier and

getting rid of all that poison. I think all of the info that I am getting

along with the support is making the biggest difference this time.

Thank you all for the greatest support that I could ever ask for. I only

hope that one day I can return the favor. Of course I may not feel this way

in an hour when I am jonesing for nicotine. But thanks to you guys, that

won't last for long.
