Have you ever heard this: Q: What does a redneck say before a trip to the Emergency Room? A: Hey Y'all Watch This! That was the story of my life- trying anything once, and getting the hound knocked outta me for doing it;>) So when I had to deal with all the injuries as I got older, and all the sickness that came along too, I was dying by the time I was 45 and I knew it, and I had to take the same attitude I had always lived by to get myself well: try anything at least once. Some of those things have not been so smart. I was always an experimenter and always took a dare, nearly set the house on fire a couple of times, always had the cops looking for me, the preacher called my parents about me, Mama had to take nerve pills worrying about me, other Mamas wouldn't let their daughters date me. The only reason my wife was allowed to date me was because she was 18 and in college before I met her. It goes on and on. Life is for LIVING! I really don't know that I have all that much more weird conditions going on than many other people, there are others here who have been through all kinds of health hell too. Three things about me- one is I have " Princess and the pea syndrome " ; little things bug me and I have to get rid of them; two is that I am an experimenter- " I gots to know " ; and three is that so many people have taken their time to type out all kinds of helpful things for me and I am obligated to pass it on. But- yes- I do and did have multiple conditions that were driving me nuts. Sometimes it's like squeezing a balloon. Right now I am really doing great and seeing a lot of things get better. I've been there before and pronounced myself nearly cured, but fell backwards, so I don't spout off like that anymore. Nope, I really don't think I had Lyme but we do think our youngest daughter got it and we think we have it under control. My major problems were a nearly lifelong sinus infection that became totally antibiotic resistant, turned into a biofilm and went to my heart, and seemingly separate, several skeletal injuries from my youth that garnered various infections. Along the way my thyroid nearly shut down and my eyes got calcified. Today it will be 90+ and humid and I'll be sharpening mower blades and mowing knee high Bahia grass all day. I consider it a blessing just to be able to do it. Oh and there is some more: I'm a diehard do it yourselfer, a near perfectionist, and nobody ever tells me something can't be done. I have to be well, I have to do it myself, and I will nearly spit in a doctor's face for telling me I can't do it. God help me, I can't stand to be told that something can't be done.
