Guest guest
Hi Deb, there’s a gadzillion theories out there as to the source of almost all diseases…and I think we do tend to see through the lens of our own diagnosis – for instance, I have ME, so often see things from that perspective. Those who have dealt with so-called “subclinical” hypothyroidism and then finally gotten a hard-won diagnosis will tend to see things that way. But, if you do an overview of Fibro literature, you will see that just as many fervently believe lots of different theories, most of which have some scientific basis…but really, nothing is known for sure. So, just give a grain of salt to all those theories out there LOL! It is certainly true that lots of folks in general do have subtle forms of hypothyroidism. Guest guest
I do not think that Fibro is undiagnosed hypothyroidism. I have been treated for hypothyrodism for years. I still developed Fibro. Margaret
Guest guest
That idea sounds very farfetched to me. Many of us with CFIDS also have low thyroid, me included. I have no fibro symptoms and I don't know of anyone else with low thyroid who could possibly connect with fibro symptoms. The low thyroid is very common in CFIDS people.
