Guest guest
Dear friends, Thanks for all the suggestions on my father's wounds, which seem to be getting better. He feels drawn to use hydrogen peroxide and DMSO. I'm excited about the rest of the remedies and plan to get some of them for my own home apothecary. My new possibly off topic question is base on something Garnet recently wrote: >>The histamine release is less with subsequent applications until the Mast Cells are depleted. I have exercise urticaria, itchiness from walking on flat ground. Any ideas as to how to deplete Mast Cells? A friend of mine who has this actually uses pharmaceutical antihistimines, which I don't want to take. Natural antihistimines? Something that changes the way the Mast Cells react in the first place? Thanks again and new years blessings to all, -Marie Eugene, Oregon USA
Guest guest
Quercetin with Bromelain is a natural anti-histamine that I take for seasonal allergies. I buy NOW brand from herbMD.com. When pollen is very heavy I may take it 4-5 times a day, but most days of allergy season I only take it twice a day. The repeated application of DMSO may do the trick. It makes the Mast Cells dump their stores of histamine and if you keep them emptied as they try to refill you may be able to stay on top of it without much histamine effect. BTW DMSO is a strong anti-oxidant and Hydrogen Peroxide a strong oxidizing agent -- theoretically they could cancel each other out if used together. I might use them at different times rather than in combination. I don't have any actual experience or proof of their combined effect -- just the theory behind their actions.
