I want the recipe for Pumpkin Squares, too. While we're on the subject:

Does anyone have a good recipe for Pumpkin Bread? I make Pumpkin Bread in

late Oct and give it to some of our clients, but the recipe I've been using

has a consistency like a really moist muffin. I would rather have a

slightly drier bread recipe if anyone has one (more of a pound cake

consistency).

Thanks!!!

Carol

Iris...I am glad you are OK ....well semi OK....I

agree with you on the knee....what has happened I

think will cause alot of us to ask some big questions

should it ever be our turn....and now you and others

LOL have me drooling...Tess...Stacey....please post

this recipe for pumpkin squares....I love to

bake...hate to cook ...but love to bake....although

now my two oldest are gone it seems to stay aroung

longer....somewhere I have a recipe for sweet potatoes

with a pecan topping that is really good I will dig

for it....being from the north originally I use to use

walnuts in everything....then I moved here and would

bake for my seniors and they wouldnt touch it...at

first I thought maybe because of their teeth .....but

then one day I was really hurt and asked and one of

them said honey no good southerner eats anything but

pecans....so I learned my lesson and have been baking

with pecans for 20 years now....although I must

confess....if it is for me I will still use

walnuts....you are lucky to have your very own pecan

trees with the price of pecans these days....after the

first frost we go down to Charlie Texas and pick our

own at the farms there it ends up being alot cheaper

and they freeze really well....please do take it easy

moving your hostas...and have a good

weekend.....drooling in OK Kathi

Carol,

This is my favorite recipe for pumpkin bread. I bake it in a tube pan and

it¹s great for a crowd. I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I¹ve

make it without the sugar topping, but of course it isn¹t as good. I hope

you like it as much as our family does.
