Jenn's experience with the bales of hay reminded me of something. The other day someone asked how we noticed when TaeBo was starting to work during the 21dc. I mentioned how I first started feeling it in my calves. Jenn just reminded me that I also noticed my stamina increased. I go on frequent weekend trips, and after doing the 21-dc I noticed that I could pull my luggage, lift it, etc. with no strain at all. It was almost like I was picking up a purse instead of a suitcase! -- Sandy

And you are right, WE SHOULD BE BRAGGING MORE (hint, hint) Way to Go!!
Guest guest
Jenn, congratulations on the brag and on training for the 5K. I hope your grandmother is also pleased with your other recent accomplishments, e.g., the masters. You will be amazed what the running will do for you in terms of weight loss and energy. Go for it. Elena, who is VERY impressed that you can lift even one bale of hay, let alone 100s of them
Guest guest
<<First my brag of the week (I think we should start doing this again!) is that my grandmother who does nothing but criticise me about my eating and my weight and my looks, said quietly to my grandfather, " doesn't Jenn look good? " I heard my name mentioned and heard exaclty what she said, but I asked her to repeat it louder so that I could really hear it, and she did! I was so excited to get a compliment from her! I know it is the taebo and my committment to staying fit which has made the difference. I still have a long " weigh " to go but a lot more people are noticing the success I have already made. ................................So on top of taebo, I'll be running 2 miles a day for the next week, 3 miles a day the following, and etc. until I am set for the 5k. My cousin told me to run 5 out 7 days with intervals on the days right after a resting day. I'm so excited! Wish me luck! -Jenn>> Jenn *HUG* I'm so pleased for you, I know how extra fantastic it is to get compliments like that from people who are usually critical! And very good luck with the running, keep us up to date on how you are doing and when the 5K is on Jill
Guest guest
Thanks for the support on the 5k. I ran my 2 miles this morning. It was definitely rough, but I'm glad I did it. However I'm think since I'm training for this, taebo is going to take a backseat for a few weeks. The race is August 19th and I really want to be ready to go. That gives me 5 weeks (from tomorrow) to train. My cousin is a great runner and he is giving lots of support. He ran the NYC marathon a few years ago...he didn't place but he loved it and has given me some goals to work towards. He's also given me a training schedule. It's going to be rough, but I'm looking forward to it. The half marathon is scheduled for Columbus Day weekend. I'm not sure that I will run, it will depend on the 5k. I wish there was a 10k Columbus Day instead. Well that's all for now -Jenn (who dreads adding 4 additional glasses of water (for training purposes) to the 8 I already drink a day!) Jenn, how wonderful for you!!!! do't worry about taking a break from Taebo, your body will like changing things around and changing back. It keeps it on it's " toes " Good luck and keep us posted. Who wants to star running...but wont until she gets a breast reduction

Jenn, Congratulations on the compliment from your grandma! I know that means a lot, especially if she isn't usually supportive of you! Good luck training for the 5k and possibly the half marathon! It's always been a dream of mine to train for a marathon...so if you do the half marathon....I might be asking for some training tips from you! Let us know how it goes for you
