Guest guest
Thanks Tom, It's sad that I am not alone in this situation, where I'm sure I was passed over for promotion because of my condition, but can't prove it. My work-mates are all great people to work with, and when I am having a bad day, they all look out for me, give me opportunity to go rest if I have too, so I'd be stupid to let this eat away at me. But, it does kind of niggle in the back of my mind as I see the lady who got the job, scratch her head, not knowing what to do, and myself (who knows) debating whether to go and help her out. I do anyway, because thats just me..can't help that, maybe I shouldn't to prove a point. But I work in a bookstore, we are usually one big happy family who care for each other a lot. I don't want to detract from that, so I just bite my tongue and get on with my job which I have that I love anyway (Kids Section). I haven't had too much time off work from the asthma. I work 40 hours a week, and usually tough out a bad day. Only going home if I've super-maxed out the puffer and gotten light-headed and dizzy, sometimes its taken a while to be able to drive home, but I've never asked them to call an ambulence for me, even though sometimes I think maybe I should have.
