Guest guest Posted September 23, 2002 Report Share Posted September 23, 2002 I have just started a study for Type II Diabetes and when I was visiting with the dietitian (sp) she told me about a challenge they had a Golds Gym. Wenatchee, WA's Gold Gym won the challenge for losing the most weight, they had a small (school boy size) apple before each meal. Its not hard to eat a small one and it gets you some of the fruit, adds fiber to your diet and helps lower colestrol. You have to eat the peel also. My husband and I decided it was worth a try (living in the middle of the apple orchards) and have been eating them for a week.
