Guest guest
Hi Jan, I would love to see some of those recipes. I hope your cramps aren't too bad. Sounds like you always seem to be running down that hall for one reason or another. Is the detrol helping with that problem? Guest guest
Hi Stacey: The Detrol is for incontinence or over-active bladder. This has been like the stomach flu and I am still sitting here cramping tonight. I had to drink some Gatorade earlier because I had become terribly dehydrated. The gas that is causing the cramping also rolls around my chest and just above my waist in the rib section sometines. Enough of that. I will send you a list of the recipes that I have and you can either pick what you would like or the whole list. I also have a handwritten notebook(not 3 ring) that my mother started when she was around 7(1920) of every recipe that she tried and liked. Some of them are over 100 years old and are so good. My favorite one is one that was pased down from my great-grandmother called 40 times buns. You make it up about 48 hours before you bake them. You use active yeast and the first 24 hour you mix the dough down in the bowl that you have it rising in. Thats where you get the 40 times. Then the 2nd day, you roll your buns, nice large ones and set them out on cookie sheets and let them rise another 24 hours(covered of course). They are sooooo good. Sometimes she would use some of the dough to make a loaf or two of bread or what she called squaw bread(didn't taste like what they call squaw bread now)that was dropped into hot oil and cooked. Then the scraps that were left over, she used to sprinke them with sugar and cimmamin and bake. Any leftover buns were put into the oven, sprinkled with water and steamed for few minutes and they still tasted fresh baked. When my mother was younger, she used to cook and bake alot. The last 15 years of her life, she only baked at Christmas(delicious cookies and fudge and divinity) for her friends. She baked until maybe the last 5 years of her life. Will close for now. Positive thoughts and prayers. Jan in CA +/:=) bintherdunit@... wrote:Hi Jan, I would love to see some of those recipes. I hope your cramps aren't too bad. Guest guest
Sorry about your computer problem, Jan. Hope you can figure it out soon. Those pop-ups are so *!!^$(*)( & #*$#))@ annoying! I refuse to frequent sites that generate a multitude of them. Too bad since About.com has so many good things there. It drives me nuts. Lots of memories revisited and made. And was said, You took us on your journey with your wonderful descriptive narrative. Please look into your toe. As a diabetic, your foot is at stake. is so right. > > Stacey: I hope you are feeling better. I can hardly wait to " see " the butterfly emerge. > > Heidi: I haven't seen any posts from you in a long time. Are you ok? I hope your battle is going well. You are in my thoughts and prayers. > > Everyone else: I think of you all and think positive thoughts along with my prayers for you. If anyone would like some delicious recipes, I have several saved from a recipe group I belong to and some of them are great. Ranges from breakfast to dinner, main dishes to desserts. I also have Tess' poems if anyone would want a copy. I have been unindated with pop-ups lately. I get hundreds at night when I am on the computer. It takes me almost as long to get rid of them as it does to read my mail. > > Well, I must be off to work. I have been feeling quite a bit better except for a nagging stomach cramps(mild) and you know what goes with it - many trips down the hall. On Saturday, I started taking Detrol(the sustained release one)and this started Monday. I did not take it last night and the cramping seems to have subsided but we'll see as the day progresses. Lots of prayers, hugs, and wishes for a happy, painfree day. > > Jan in CA +/:=)
Guest guest
The pop-ups come on any site including I have been emailed a couple of pop-up delete websites and will look into them as soon as I get a chance. Some of them are even porn. It almost seems to my computer on this one as my computer at work doesn't get them. They probably have a filter installed or some such thing.
