Are you looking jaundiced? Is your urine dark in color? You may very well wan to call and see if he wants labs. This is what happens to me anyway. Hope you are feeling better. Good luck with your appointment That's been my understanding, that pale stools might indicate elevated bilirubin, with possible bile duct blockage. Or -- maybe it's just -- something. I already had lab tests set up because of some oddities in previous test results, but I plan to call and ask if I need any other than the routine ones. Unfortunately, the doctor's assistant I must go through is easily confused, at best. I don't think I'm jaundiced, but when I was diagnosed I looked fine until I turned as orange as Anita's hair. harper RUTH wrote: Harper do you live close to the ocean? I know my husband has said that people who live near the ocean have more trouble with their cars rusting. Yes, Ruth, I live 1,000 feet from the Pacific Ocean, north of San Francisco, but the rust originated when I lived perhaps a mile from the Atlantic Ocean, in Boston. There, having a leaky car is really a problem; the condensation freezes on the inside of the car in extreme cold. The seats crunch, being ice-filled, and I always had to scrape off the ***inside*** of the car windows as well as the outside before driving -- and keep scraping during the trip. Incidentally, Ruth, the community I live in is called Sea Ranch. So many elderly Sea Ranchers move to Bend that people here call it Sea Ranch North. SOPHIE -- I love your realistic suggestions! The car was fine during the years I kept it garaged in San Francisco, and I'd forgotten it leaked until I moved to this stormy coastal site. This winter is so wet that I can get only two out of the four exterior house doors open. Now, I really must stop taking up space!
