My dauhter and a son are with me full time. Her pain slowly builds.

Some of the worst episodes have been Sunday nights while she's just

sitting around watching TV and the pain starts to slowly build in

intensity untill she no no longer deal with it. she usually eats like

a bird. Not much of anything because her stomach always has pain. we

used to think that her constipation stemmed from the fact that she

never drank anything.

when she does eat it is usually Raman noodles or pasta of some sort.

it's very frustrating because i offer to fix her everything i can

think of and she won't bite. If i fix her something healthy there is

usually immediate rejection.

Last night i started making fruit smoothies, all natural, no added

sugar. strwberries, pineapple, banana, blueberries, with lime, apple,

and prune juice and some ice. She loved it. she drank another full

glass tonight. I'm going to beome a blender maniac using raw fruits

and veggies. I discussed tonight with her that we must try different

things because the two handfuls of pills she takes daily with the

miralax, dulcolax, suppository use and enemas just aren't doing the

job to get her regular and out of pain.

the ER docs can't figure it out except to say that the pain is from

the slow moving of material through her colon. her clinic docs are

puzzled.

she had 1 hospital stay for a colonoscopy (normal), 1 hospital stay

to clean her out using a regimine of " go lightly " , one hospital visit

to rule out hirschsprungs and another to rule out a rare from of

selective hirschsprungs. I feel like the docs have given up on her

and as long as she can get by on this regimen, well that' good enough

for now because they don't have a clue as to how to help her
