Subject: digests Hi Cheryl, The bugs have been pretty well worked out. It appears that people who get the individual e-mails need to remember not to include the entire digest or many connected e-mails. I'm not sure of the exact thing but it has sure been much better. Can anyone explain this again so that we all keep on track of keeping the digest managable? Amy

Guest guest
Jerry, when my grandma was 80, someone asked her to prove she was old enough to get the Senior Citizen Discount! She was an amazing woman! She died when she was 100 years and 4 months! Debby
Guest guest
good luck, Barbara !!!!!! " Supplementitis! " — really made me bell laugh, Rocket Ron, and a belly laugh a day is a very important part of my regimen.I don't know Dr Zhang. I've been seeing Dr Kang for 10 years. I'll tell you what I know, impartially, so anyone who wishes can decide if it might be of value for themselves. He has his own growing fields in China, for one thing -- so his herbs are pesticide free and not sprayed at the border; they're also fresher. I know of one HepC formula on the market which uses his formula; that's why he started his own line of compounds: http://drkangformulas.com. Besides the one for Hep-C, the one called " chemo-rad " is a good immune booster; and " quality of life " has stuff that's also good for heppers. I know he's also sent packages of herbs to decoct by mail. Chinese medicine tends to be slower; and there are interaction issues (like garlic being hot and Dr Kang wanting to cool me down). But, all in all, I'm very happy with it as a modality, and will continue. As for your core protocol, Ron, I appreciate it and used it as a kind of self-test quiz to see if I knew what they were each for; I'm enclosing my " answers " but as you can see, there are some I don't know about. I've heard of oxymatrine, for example, but forget its primary virtue; ditto DHEA. (Ditto nat-cell frozen thymus. Etc etc). I also made a few notes as to dosages milk thistle — supports the liver; doesn't " stay " in the system, so 3 times a day (app 175 each time) vit c — antioxidant [i hear 1-3 grams] vit b (of some form) — i take b12, 'cos i'm a vegetarian, so can't get it otherwise alpha lipoic acid — antioxidant (works even better with l-acetyl carnitine, I hear) glucusamine (joint problems) - (sorry to hear) EFA (fish oil) - Omega 3s, etc. selenium - inhibits viral replication? ocymatrine (Alchemist Lab) - ¿? CoQ10 - ¿for healthy heart? resveratrol — immortality, of course glutathione (several forms) — cream sounds interesting; i use NAC and denatured Whey naringin — inhibits viral replication (as does blueberry leaves 'spozedly); Swanson is the only place I could find it: and you? Bio-Dent (Standard Process - helps prevent gum disease) — ¿is this off-topic, or does HepC make us prone to gum disease? Reishi (mushroom) Gano 161 jhsnp.com — lowers enzyme levels (me, i chew on a few shreds of dried red reishi, after each meal) N-A-C — supports the liver SAM-e — remethylate (since Hep-C demethylates us); good for liver and for mood — on an empty stomach; 200mg x 3? / 400mg 1ce? Lecithin (mix w/distilled water - drown pills with it) — i forget why it's important lactoferrin (2 caps before bed) — ¿? chlorella Kyoto — to fight liver cancer — " kyoto " is a brand-name or source of chlorella? [the suppplements guru at my store is suggesting I'll like their new wheat grass tablets better than chlorella] B-12 sublingual — [sublingual 'cos body acids wipe it out before it reaches where it needs to go] DHEA — I forget what it's for MSM — also for joints? i'm noticing vitamen c inhibits my stool so i don't use it as often as i oughti also take 2 vitamin E's a day (total 800mg)50-100 mg of Zinca Calcium/Magnesium (dr weil's) 2ce/dayan iron-free multi, 2ce/day and i alternate between echinacea and st john's wart, 6 weeks for each. the former, for immunity (i think it thickens cell walls?); the latter for mood and as anti-viralplus i try to taper off most of them for a couple days every 6 weeks one teaspoon of turmeric/day — anti-inflammatoryi use coconut butter in meals, as i hear its monolauric acid is antiviral; and, being a vegan, i think it's a necessary source of healthy fati also favor artichokes, as liver supportive, 'tho they became expensive. am starting to add thyme to dishes ; it supports the thymus, ¿no?happy labor day weekend, to you allgary
Guest guest
Hi , I have the same reaction if I take as much Vit C as I like (6-8 G/day), DHEA has a little of that immortality junk (especially in bed), glutathione stinks to high hell - I used to have it in a bottle (Essential Nutraceuticals GSH) & the cream smells the same when you rub it on your arm (probably will cancel out the DHEA !). I'll keep you posted on it's results when I've tried it a little longer. Oxymatrine ( I wish I could afford more products from Alchemist Lab - they make a good powder to add to hot tea) I forgot what it does also but my enzyme levels seem to respond well to it, I ordered one bottle of blueberry leaf extract, and will certainly use it until it's gone, I usually have blueberries daily with my muesli or oatmeal. Lecithin helps prevent fatty liver (and if you take as many pills as I do, you need any excuse to make something liquid). Lactoferrin at night because the rest of my day has too many pills, plus I read somewhere that it is most effective overnight. Kyoto is a brand name and I order it from Swanson. Thinking about becoming their distributor in Colombia. Teaspoon of tumeric? Where do you get that, what's it taste like? I think that about covers it, except fot MSM, and now I've got to go and look up why! Bio-Dent because I had gum surgury and my check-ups have been better since I started using it, especially if I'm a good boy and floss daily. I also liked DR Kang when I tried it, just can't do everything............. take care, my friend RocketRon -- In , Gach <gary.gach@...> wrote: > > good luck, Barbara !!!!!! > > " Supplementitis!
