pcp visit

Hi All,

I saw the pcp today about the foot swelling thing. She still says that it is

venous insufficiency. She says that she ran all the tests for heart,

thyroid, and kidney problems and they were all negative, so that leaves poor

circulation. Then she did exactly what I was dreading. She prescribed " the

stockings. " She also gave me Metrogel for the rosacea and acne problem that

I've been having. My rheumy also said that he thinks that this is a

circulation prob. So I guess I'll just have to try the stockings and see

what happens. They both think that lowering the prednisone will also help

the prob. I am down to 10mg/day from 25. I also found out that I have

gained 15 lbs since my last visit about a month ago. I am heavier now than I

have ever been. It is very uncomfortable and I think it is time to do

something about it. I know that it will be hard with the meds, but I think

that I can do it.

Its off to the gyne tomorrow at 9:45. I haven't mentioned this prob to

anyone. I don't want to worry anyone. So I decided to wait to see what the

dr. said first. I have never had large breasts in my life, but with this

swelling, they are a bit bigger than what I am used to. I don't want to

offend anyone, but they are really uncomfortable. Now I know what it feels

like. Ok, enough detail. I'll let you all know what Dr Mackay says

tomorrow.
