Guest guest
Don't forget that what we say matters. After a BM make sure you say something like "Wow I bet you feel better now" or similar. During earlier years the high 5s and atta boys are important, but also helping your child integrate their mind and body - so they can recognize their body's signals better. Things like: Opps I tooted, I better go try to go to the bathroom I feel sortof (woozy, wiggly, etc) after eating ______________ After I eat, I feel better if I go to the bathroom and wash my hands before I go back to the classroom and in my child's case -- "I'm feeling wiggly, I'm going to go run up and down the stairs or do some push ups
