Guest guest
Hi Jane, I forgot to explain this because I knew how, just didn't think about others not knowing what I know. On the does and buck (Nubian goats), I administered the cayenne in animal boluses (empty, from Jeffers <in many sizes> and I used the largest my goats could swallow), twice a day at first. Not sure how long I gave them but on the animals I saw a drastic change in 12 hours. On my Rat Terrier, his teeth were clinched and I could not pull them apart. I had to make a drench of water and cayenne pepper in water, then suction it up in a syringe, using a canula (small pointed attachment added on the end of the syringe), keeping it shook because the cayenne would settle, through the back of his mouth and through his teeth to the best of my ability. Did I really measure at that point? He gave no reaction and I rushed him to the vet at night. He was at the vet's for over a week then then on my couch for two weeks, where I had to carry him outside when he asked. It was as near death as anything could be and all he had was the one dose of cayenne. I tried to get the vet to allow him some more cayenne but this was refused. I just now remember the 5th and last animal that was bleeding to death. It was a spay on my Anatolian. I was told to pick her up on the 3rd day but when I got there, she was bandaged with bloody compression bandages. The vet told me she was still bleeding and wasn't sure she should leave. I asked him if he had a syringe and canula? Yes, he had a syringe but not a canula. I told him I would go to the supermarket and buy some cayenne pepper. He was incredulous and scoffed at me but agreed to let me try it. What could be lost? I had to physically straddle Hakiki who weighs more than I do, raise her head, open her jaws and drench her with the cayenne pepper. I knew I would only have one chance. The vet was highly impressed! Guest guest
Ah internally - wasn't sure if you were applying it topically - thanks Jean I wondered if it felt like " burning " in the stomach when taken orally - it would burn on the tongue if a cannula wasn't used. Cannulas are so useful for many things - drawing up liquid in the bottom of bottles when nothing else reaches ....... It is also useful topically in a base cream as a counter irritant for shingles Jane hemorrhoids - experience needed >> >> >>> Hi Jane, >>> >>> I can only tell you what I read as an 'aside' in a letter.
