Guest guest
Thanks for your response regarding Kineret and other meds you have taken. Many times we as a group share what we are on or have been on, but really how do we know what has actually worked to treat RA and these other related diseases. So what a better group of people to tell us..but us. As said before, if any of you would like to share what meds you have tried, I will be glad to compile the data for all of you. Guest guest
Hi Joanne... 1980-1998 Prednisone tapers and injections at joints. NSAIDS which all made me very ill (gastro) 1998 Plaquenil - no effect 1999 Arava - no effect on RA, but did lose weight spontaneously 2000 Oral Methotrexate - could not stay on it long because of terrible tummy problems, so switched to injectable. Started on Enbrel 2 x week. Very minimal & erratic help. 2002 Injectible MTX, and started on Remicade. Immediate positive results from Remicade, but Remicade cycle has gone from every 8 weeks to every 6 weeks, as effectiveness has worn off sooner. Have used prednisone taper twice for flares. I believe the MTX has helped the psoriasis quite a bit, but it is not gone. Love... Tess
