A very Happy Diwali...and sincere apologies..

Hello Everybody,

Firstly, a very Happy Diwali,to my teachers..and dear friends....

Chose this auspicious day..to kick-start..my entry back into MGIMS fold.

Great to see many many messages doing rounds..each single day...,so..what..if it

meant..just one line..Bday wishes..to Ashok,Skand..and

congratulatory..wishes..to Amulya Nadkarni(Nadu)..on arrival.of Samodh.

...

My sincere apologies..to everyone..whom,I had promised..but couldn't

contact..during..my this year's annual rush rush visit..to..India..during mid

Aug-mid Sept.

I am sorry..particularly..to Mukunda..,Santosh Prabhu..and to Raju Shah,whom I

had promised..to meet ,while in Pune..and Mumbai..respectively,if

time..permitted..

However,I am happy,that this time..,I could finally manage.to meet

Kishoreda..and his loving family...in Pune..

I had 2 main agenda..when I left for Pune..from Mumbai..during the Ganesh

Festival ....

One was to see..the famous..Dagdusheth Halwai's Ganesh Pandal,the Lalbaugh Raja

of Pune..as they wrote..,

...and secondly to be able to meet,Kishoreda..

Managed to accomplish both of my engagements..

I..was thorughly impressed by..Kishoreda's..nice little property housing.his

nursing home..and his..home..

Had a good time....chatting..with him..and..returned back to Mumbai..with happy

memories.and warm hospitality..

Met my dear old friend..Amol Kulkarni..and his big

brother..Parimal..Kulkarni(82)..at their residence in Aundh..

These days..I am..not..in here..bcos,..in 2months..time,..I hope..to be in

Sewagram..for the reunion..function..of my batch of 1984..along with maximum

number..of students..ever joining in...

And...calling up..everyone..and..literally pleading some to come..for the

reunion..is a monumental task..,which I never imagined...

I was also..a bit wary,of calling..up the hubbies..of some of the ladies,now..of

my batch..and requesting them..to send their wives..for the reunion,..probably

causing..some doubt..in their hubby's minds..

So,with now..the..act of..planning down..to the last detail...in full throttle

,taken over...by the groundstaff..at Sewagram..,..I have been relieved...to

do,what I enjoy doing the best..and that..is..coming back here....

Great to..hear..Malini's views..on..the attack..on Docs..aspect..

Never..heard..anything...out here..since..last 12 yrs..of my stay...

I think,with..tolerance level..at a very.low..point..amongst..the Indian

masses,due to stress..and other factors..of daily grind..

........it's Goonda Raj..all the way,..be..it..in our practise..or elsewhere..

On an ending note...We welcomed..the new member of MGIMS 79

batch,Dr.Chaterjee.(Paeds)(Gopadi's brother)...to Riyadh.....thru a wonderful

dinner hosted by Gopadi..and Kiran Sir,on his safe...arrival..from Pune..

The rest of the MGIMS Riyadh group,..wished..him..well,..as we enjoyed..the

tastefully served..dinner..last week..

months..of layoff..
