Guest guest
I at times don't go out on a very cold day, because when it's windy out, it causes me to lose my breath. When I do go out in the cold weather, I make sure I keep warm on the buses. I hang out with my best friend which is a city bus driver. The city buses help. CindiLynne.Subject: Re: Cold weatherTo: asthma Date: Thursday, October 2, 2008, 11:37 PM Covering the nose and mouth has helped me in the past. During moderately cold times, I use a scarf. During very cold times, I use a neoprene mask I picked up from REI. They have helped me her in Alaska, hopefully this will help you as well. Mike Cold weather I have silly question since this is my first year of my asthma being uncontrolled during the cold months what can I expect out of this? I have noticed while I'm at the bus stop with my daughter I can feel something in my chest like the coldnes is doing something not sure what but I don't feel right until I come home. Guest guest
I crochet scarves and always have one on hand for cold outdoors. I also make them my kids as they are asthmatic too. Really makes a difference. Kathleen > > > > , I can tell you what to do to help prevent it. When you go > > out when > > it's cold cover your mouth and nose!!!!! Guest guest
Cindi, I beleive weight has alot to do with your breathing. I had gained about 30 pounds when I quit smokeing and my breathing was alot worse. I have went on a low carb diet and I've lost it all in about 4 months and I feel aot better. Also excerising helps with you r breathing too. Do'nt over do it but just start put swlow and work your way up, even if it is walking. Hope this may help an asmatha suffer. Guest guest
Jenn Putting a scarf over you mouth when you go out may help. So you don't inhale the cold. It helps me some.
