Guest guest
Doctors can be so fickle...so many of us have posted how we've tried telling doctors our hundreds of stories of how Miralax has hurt our children. They shrug it off, saying there's no scientific evidence of any of this...However, in speaking with my cardiologist today I asked a question about my condition. It's a strange condition, not usual in people like me but she said how "I've heard many stories of patients who..." and she confirmed my question based on anecdotal information. Is it only when they're right they'll take anecdotal stories and when they look bad, then they'll only accept science? I wanted so badly to say something about this to her in regard to our conversations about Miralax, but when people are messing with my heart, I feel very compelled to keep them on my good side!! Guest guest
:-( thank you for sharing your experience. and your words about how it hurts your heart and how it makes it hard to keep the conversation going - I really appreciate you sharing that insight. I feel that way too. p.s. if people have children that have had reactions and they can collect observations by school staff, caregivers, and other doctors about changes seen - sometimes you have to just get that out there and fight for recognition. For one thing - sometimes you have to verify for schools etc why your child changed. Those big battles are part of this process of medical change too - and some people will lose doctors over it. Which is so so not right. We've been there too. :-( There are many parts to the collective process. But sometimes - when my heart isn't up for a big battle, when we have no other choices for doctors, when we just need to find a way forward and keep continuity of care going....sometimes it works to baby the ego. It's that way a lot lately for me - getting wimpified as I face major issues. fickle doctors Doctors can be so fickle...so many of us have posted how we've tried telling doctors our hundreds of stories of how Miralax has hurt our children.
