Hi, I'm new!

Hi there! My name is and I have 2 children, Harriet,8 (constipation

issues resolved at this point) and Crispin, 6 who is still having issues. Well,

only if we forget the miralax. I have had him on it about a year with great

results. I had tried every approach I could think of since he started having

problems at 6 months. I strongly believe his issues we due to over exposure to

bleach water sprayed on toys at day care. They would spray while the kids were

still present, and I believe the concentrate was too high. The kids both came

home reeking of bleach and eventually developed severe constipation at about the

same time. Given, I had issues & so did my mom (hers went into adulthood &

included surgery). From the start, his poop was the size of his arm. We tried

herbs, homeopathy, chiro, cranial sacral, reiki, milk of magnesia, exercises,

mayan abdominal massage, suppositories, Natural Calm(effervescent magnesium

citrate) we went on a

severe diet based on applied kinesiology vs. traditional testing. This helped

Harriet quite a bit, but not Crispin. He was also getting 1-2 tablespoons of

olive oil, coconut oil, cod liver oil, and sunflower oil. Nothing ever worked

for him, and I practiced my doula skills on him more than my birth moms. I just

couldn't handle his pain and screaming and crying anymore, it went on for hours

and days, then comes the break where no poop happens. You dread it, and

guiltily enjoy the peace. I finally took him to a ped gastro.( went to 2

proctos before with no real good suggestions) and she gave us the miralax. She

said she had been practicing for years and had many many patients on it for

years with no problems. I just saw a post somewhere else about this group &

that other people are having problems, so I wanted to check it out. On a side

note, Crispin was having some ear problems and the ent wanted to put tubes in.

I took Crispin back to our

'woo-Hoo energy guy chiro' as I call him. He tested for tons of food & env.

sensitivities and found none, but he did find a yeast infection in his lymph

system which we are treating with cat's claw and a supplement called

10-Undecenoic Acid derived from castor bean oil (formula sf722 by Thorne) which

is clearing up his ears. He never found that in him when we lived down there &

went regularly ( we moved about 3 years ago, but I drove 3 1/2 hours each way to

take him to someone I thoroughly trusted.)

So, I've read a bit about the symptoms folks have seen. How does our experience

compare to some of yours? Anyone have specific feedback? I'm just not sure how

to jump in here
