Guest guest
My goodness Gail, what happened? You poor thing! I wish I lived a little bit closer so I could help out with things. I've been wondering what happened to you since you haven't posted in while. I was hoping it was because things were going so well! Take care! You need a lap top right now! You've been missed. mary from La. Guest guest
Hi Gail, I had wondered where you were. Hope you are feeling better. My wife broke her leg in October of 98 and it took about three months for her to walk without support again; hope healing is faster for you. Take care and keep in touch. Dear Friends, Just a short note to tell you that my lack of participation in the list as of late has been due to my clutsy accident where I broke my foot! I've been bedridden for over a week now, with another week of bed followed by 5 weks in a cast. I hope to be back with the list soon. Have you talked to an ICD rep about this? It is my concern that the electricity through your body will damage your ICD. I know having electrolysis is a "no, no" unless your ICD is turned OFF. But this is more serious and could damage you unit, I am afraid. I'd like to know more before you have this done. thinking of you, guin Re: Anybody Home; > no offence taken lisa......you just go get done whatever has to be done to > make you get better.. > > bob in pa > > > > Please visit the Zapper homepage at > http://www.ZapLife.org > >

Guest guest
Debs, Of course we want to hear from you!!! What you have been going through is unimaginable and everyone's worse nightmare! I don't know of anyone who doesn't feel helpless and angry at your plight, many of us want to drop everything and run to your side and try to help. I don't know enough about your doctors or medical center to judge what kind of care you are getting; I do know even great doctors can be faced with great challenges like yours. I do know that it's important that you be comfortable with your medical team and your care. I know how hard it is to face making changes when you are sick and in pain. Do you have a trusted family member, friend, neighbor that advocates for you or are you trying to manage your care on your own? My thoughts are with you, I think about you daily, and keep hoping for a positive resolution soon. You are never boring, so please don't think that way. Guest guest
Debs, Glad to see you¹re feeling well enough to post. I¹m sorry you¹re facing another surgery and hope this will resolve the problem once and for all. Did they do any scans to check where the infection is? Boring you are not. You¹ve been through much more than any persons should have to endure. I hope this chapter comes to an end very soon with a happy ending. a > Well, here we go again, > > I am scheduled for Monday morning @ 9:30 am to hafve my original replacement > knee to be removed and to have the space filled with antibiotic treated > cement for approximately 6-8 weeks and then they do more testing on the knee > and if and only if, the entire infection is healed, will they then schedule > my surgery to put a brand new replacement knee is that has been updated. > > Currently, my knee is " weeping " , red, swollen and I can put absolutely no > weight on that leg at all hip to ankle. Guest guest
The very best of luck to you tomorrow with your surgery, Debs! I've been very worried about you. I know you didn't want this surgery, but I believe it's the best way to rid your body of this infection. I hope that somewhere along the way your other knee has been checked out. I'll continue praying for a good outcome for you, [ ] Update to All > Well, here we go again, > > I am scheduled for Monday morning @ 9:30 am to hafve my original replacement > knee to be removed and to have the space filled with antibiotic treated > cement for approximately 6-8 weeks and then they do more testing on the knee > and if and only if, the entire infection is healed, will they then schedule > my surgery to put a brand new replacement knee is that has been updated. > > Currently, my knee is " weeping " , red, swollen and I can put absolutely no > weight on that leg at all hip to ankle.
