I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I can remember when my

disease took me to that point in less than 3 months. I was only 31 at the

time, and felt like an old lady! My sister, Janet, is in the same boat you

are right now. They have her on the plaquenal (sp?), and 15 mg of

prednisone and she is in agony. They gave her darvaset, but that just

leaves her feeling drugged and doesn't help. She is on dr's orders to rest

this weekend, and she sees him in 1 week. She has been in so much pain that

she hasn't been able to post to the group yet, but she is reading the posts

when she has the energy.

Have you tried heat? rice bags that youcan throw in the microwave or hot

wax? I found that at the very worst times, that gave me enough relief that

I could at least relax for a little while. I know the feeling of " nothing

but RA " , and everyone who has said to tell the doctor how you feel is right.

I tried to " buck-up " when I was at the dr's office, and the day I finally

admitted how hard it was, his comment was " It's about time you admitted it

to yourself, I saw it 3 months ago! " If the dr really cares, and I hope the

new one does, then they will do all they can to help with the pain.

Unfortunately, those darn DMARDs take so long to work that you wonder if you

will last long enough to find out. We all understand that part of this

disease. My prayers are with you, and I look forward to hearing that you

have gotten some relief, and soon!

Jeanine in Fl.
