Guest guest
This is the BEST TV show I've ever seen....................There's a show on TV called "You are what you eat". I saw it yesterday, so it must be on Saturday afternoons, I encourage everyone to watch, it's kinda like the nanny show, the woman is a nutritional expert and goes into a house and puts the family through a boot camp of healthy eating, per say, It all goes back to the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, she puts into perspective just how much sugar and foods one comsumes on a weekly basis. She lays them out of the table and fills bowls of sugar to show how much is consumed based on what is purchased and eaten on a daily basis. She explains how it is related to their behavior and looks at their poops and explains that a stinky poop is an unhealthy one and talks about the gut looking like a wiggly bowl of jelly instead of tight stomach muscles etc. So she had them excercise more and said it's very important to excercise before meals, it helps with metabolism, so ladies and gentlemen, shut those tv''s and computors off, get some excercise and start eating right! And yes, I was laying in bed, in the middle of the day, no energy, when I saw this, I am 41 years old, 175 lbs and have gained 30 lbs. over the last 5 years! Whatta show! Guest guest
OMG! I forgot to post the most important part of why I posted this in the first place......... This girl ate french fries every day for every meal and it said no potato was safe with her around! She filled a table with mozzarella sticks, all the fast food & deep fried food she ate on a daily basis and said, "I'll bet you have smudge marks all over the toliet" This woman is smart! It dawned on me that this could be why so many kids have smudges and the consistancy of their stools are just plain smudge, their soft, but one cannot pass them because of a lack of NATURAL fiber. After seeing this show, this is what we are doing: get up have a drink of 100% juice go for a long walk have cut up fruit and rasin bran I also bought Kellogs shredded mini-wheats, I buy the big ones because they are fun to dunk in a cup of milk instead of oreo's! I tell them stories about how my sister and I used to try to find the ones with the most frosting, this gets them to look and more eager to eat them! 5grams of fiber and 5mg of sodium vs. 150mg of sodium and 1 gram of fiber in Apple Jacks which it's first ingredient is sugar! I through out all chips and anything junk food Only trail mixes with granola, etc. We have the mixer and juicer on the counter now, hee, hee! and we make smoothies with pineapple, strawberries, oranges, etc. WOW, even my poops look better today and I don't even have a problem! We now eat Basic 4, Frosted Mini-wheats, rasin bran, rice chexs, plain cherrios, and lots of yogurt. I bought triskets and wheat thins for a snack, I know it can be dangerous to take out carbs so we are doing everything in moderation, another no-no is the fizzy pops as the lady in the show calls them, I think she's from the UK! I'll keep you updated on how are regimn is going, we are also back on Kirkmans chewable Pro-biotic. Just with two days of this, her poops doesn't smell nearly like it did, and seems the smudges are gone. Guest guest
Good for you, Jeanie! I hope this helps...as long as you don't have any wheat allergies/sensitivities, seems like it might...I think that morning walk may help as much as anything. Wish we could do that first thing in the morning! Bonnie OMG! I forgot to post the most important part of why I posted this in the first place.........
