Guest guest
I forgot to ask you something, Louise. If you don't mind saying, why does your physician want you to switch from Remicade to Kineret?
Guest guest
Dear ; I was on the Remicade for about 2 years. After the next to last infusion it had started to lose it's effectiveness. we were in the process of dropping from a 8 week schedule to 6 week to eventually a 4 week one(Never got down to a 4 week schedule) when in Sept. during my infusion. I had a whopping drug reaction.Severe and sudden onset of INTENSE back pain, nausea,BP nose dived and I almost passed out.The infusion was slowed to a crawl- 4 hours total time for the infusion that day.. The benefits of that last infusion only lasted at the most 4 days. After that he decided that I was doing my usual thing of about 2 years max for effectiveness on any drug-,then I have some weird and totally un expected reaction.Since I had had that last reaction I wasn't too keen for another go also.Enbrel, after working for about the same amount of time sent me into an episode of Congestive heart failure.(Thank God that was totally reversible also). Before that Cyclosporine,Plaquenil,Gold Methotrexate, etc, etc, etc.I have had severe RA for almost 10 years now and my medical charts at the rheumy's looks like the Encyclopedia Britannica(I am up to volume 3) Louise [ ] One more thing, Louise > I forgot to ask you something, Louise.
