Guest guest
What is " average " RA level for someone that has had RA for a while? Is anyone on Enbrel and another drug combined? Keri in MI
Guest guest
Keri, Sorry to say that your question doesn't have a satisfying answer. First of all, there is no standard for the measurement of the rheumatoid factor (RF) - different labs, different methods, different values for normal and abnormal. Not only that, some people with rheumatoid arthritis never test positive for RF. The RF titer is primarily used to assist the physician in making the RA diagnosis (but does not alone make or break a diagnosis), to possibly give clues regarding the patient's prognosis, but NOT to assess disease activity (that is, it's really not appropriate to measure it again and again if the diagnosis is certain). Guest guest
Wanted to add some more questions. Is that a lot of asymmetry? I see alot of people using mm when talking about it my doctor said quater inch. Does anyone know what that is in mm? Does anyone have pictures of their kids asymmetry and number so I can compare? And after pictures od correction and what the new numbers are? > > My son Connor P. is 4.5 months will be five on the 6th of march. He as > a quater inch asymmetry from right to left. Guest guest
I can't tell you exactly what a quarter inch equals in mm, but I can share this comparison: My son was measured by a StarBand ortho at 11/16 of an inch assymetry. At Cranial Tech (DocBand), he measured 15mm of assymetry. I believe that a quarter inch equals 4/16 (or 1/8) of an inch, so therefore my son's assymetry is 7/16 of an inch greater than your son's. Not sure that answers your question, but will maybe give you a guage to work with. I personally like the mm better, because it's a smaller increment. My son has been in his DocBand not even 3 weeks, so I don't have any end numbers for you yet, though they probably won't be dramatic because of his age. His flat spot, I would say is moderate, but his forehead bossing and ear asymmetry are severe, in my opinion anyway. I can email you his PhotoStudy from Cranial Tech if you wish, just let me know. Connor is adorable by the way! Love his spikey hair and chubby cheeks! Guest guest
It's too late to be doing fractions (it's after midnight here)....I meant 4/16 of an inch = 1/4 of an inch. I just said that exact thing in words, and then messed up the typed fraction. I'm going to bed! > > > > > > My son Connor P. is 4.5 months will be five on the 6th of march. > He > > as > > > a quater inch asymmetry from right to left. Guest guest
1 inch = 25.4 mm, so 1/4 inch is 6.35mm. what i have heard is 0-3 is normal and 4-6 is very mild so this would be very mild/mild. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > > > > > > > My son Connor P. is 4.5 months will be five on the 6th of > march. > > He > > > as > > > > a quater inch asymmetry from right to left.
