However, I use HCG as addition to testosterone replacement so I only use it twice a week at 250 IU and in no way does it benefit weight loss. As to the diet, I've found about a half dozen studies in the medical literature (PubMed) and in all of them HCG provided no benefit. From what I'm able to determine, the entire benefit of this diet can be obtained without the HCG. Since HCG stimulates testosterone production in men, it shouldn't be used by them unless they have hypogonadism. Going of 500 calories per day, most of that fat and protein, is similar to fasting and the body starts mobilizing fat from storage in that first three day period resulting in the elimination of hunger until fat stores start to be used up. The carb loading that starts the diet seems completely unnecessary. -- Steve - dudescholar4@... Guest guest
The simple answer is no. The MW is 43,000 daltonsl, which is more than 1,000. 43.000 is another way to write 43,000. Hormones are very large molecules in general and do not cross the gut wall either, hence most must be injected or absorbed transdermally or sublingually. Guest guest
Hi, Question here. Transdermally I thought meant acros the skin barrier and assumed from all I've read/absorbed so far that DMSO was the most effective of the transdermals. However, your post seems to say that there are other substances which would take this hcg or whatever accross the skin barrier when DMSO can't. If this is a correct understanding, what would those substances be? Guest guest
Transdermal absorption simply means " across the dermis " or skin. The term does not imply enhanced or even efficacious (effective) absorption. Emu Oil enhances absorption, although I do not know if it will facilitate absorption of a molecule as large a most hormones. But it is something to look into. The Emu Association literature claims that it is second only to DMSO in enhancing absorption of some substances. I do know that some pharmaceutical hormone preparations are designed to be transdermally absorbed. Some hormones may be naturally absorped across the skin. This does not mean that it is a more efficiently or even efficacious route of administration, in plain english, it might be a waste of the hormone to rub it on your skin. DMSO transports substances across cell membranes due to its similarity to the structure of water. It is 1.3 times more soluble in water than water, so it kicks some of the water out of the cell membrane and moves in and through to the cell interior. Keep in mind that the body evolved it's system of hormone delivery to be direct release to the circulatory system and subsequent delivery to tissues via the blood. This means that a hormone has to diffuse or be actively transported across cell membranes.
