Guest guest
Hey ladies, Need help. I just called the pharmacy to refill our Fleet babylax prescription, and they told me it's been discontinued. I need to know two things, but can't find any info: 1) why? 2) is there an alternative, besides the adult size? tx, sharry (mom to aidan - eleven year old superman who experiences severe generalized progressive dystonia. this movement disorder makes his muscles spasm, and the meds for it cause low tone - both cause problems with elimination. He's hopefully travelling for Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery soon.)

Guest guest
before you do the deep brian stimulation,,,,,,,have you ever had his bio-chemistry checked, I'd just hate to have someone go through that when it could be as simple as being low in magnesium or something simple as that? I don't know, my philosophy is try ALL avenues first.................Chad & Sharry Grasmick wrote: Hey ladies, Need help. Guest guest
Yes, it was just a name change from babylax to pedilax...it's still the exact same size, etc. Don't know why they changed it... good luck with getting the new prescription written! > > Oh I am going to be so annoyed - did they just change the name to pedi lax? Guest guest
They changed it because they knew that particular dose was suitable for slightly older children too (in fact, it may even do the job for adults)! > > > > Oh I am going to be so annoyed - did they just change the name to > pedi lax? Guest guest
thanks Suzanne. I was thinking maybe it was a liability issue - you know how they are moving away from advertising that makes serious meds sound like normal "baby" stuff. (thinking in the wake of the changes to the decongestant market, etc.) just a thought. but i agree - pedilax makes a more appropriate name. I was shocked - dare I say - shocked - that the new script was at the pharmacy by Friday (I asked on Tuesday.) sharry fleet babylax dc'ed?> > > > > > Hey ladies,> > > > Need help.
