Hi a,

This was interesting, thank you. I think it emphasized the importance of us

looking after ourselves. I have recently started to mention to my husband

the other threats to my health that RA can pose, such as the increased risk

of heart attack. I didn’t want to panic him before but realize it’s

important to discuss this as a couple. The things I've learn't in the group

have educated me on these issues far more than my doctors ever did. At

least now that we’ve stopped smoking it’s one less thing to worry about and

it’s given my willpower a great boost to make the other changes I need to

make!

Hugs,

Heidi

You're welcome Heidi. It really is important to look after ourselves the

best we can. You sure are taking the right steps by quitting smoking.

There is a lot we have no control over, but there are some things we can to

to help ourselves. Taking care of ourselves the best we can is all we can

do. Just take one step at a time, even if it's baby steps, as long as it's

in the right direction.

Hope you have a great weekend.
