Other things can interfere with absorption of B-12 (and minerals too).

Soy foods, whole grains, and so on.

Jamy,What do you mean you rarely have stomach issues but do have Gluten issues?? What does gluten do to you? If it doesn't affect your digestion, what does it affect? It gives me various digestive problems, cramps, bloating, diarrhea, headaches, etc. plus really bad joint aches. And those are the only symptoms that I can actually verify. I had various low nutrient levels, too. For example, my vitamin B-12 is high/normal now. I used to get shots. I haven't retested everything, but my Vitamin D and iron are somewhat improved. This enzyme is called " Intrinsic Factor " .
