Guest guest
Hello, Tess! You're very welcome. There are many reasons for low calcium levels. Since you have several medical problems and take various medications, and the fact that calcium levels in your blood are affected by very complex mechanisms, it would be hard to justify blaming it on your RA alone. Is yours a little low or very low? If your physician or MA didn't mention it, I would ask them if it's cause for concern. If it is very low, they should have some theories as to why and what the best treatment approach would be. An interesting note: Low albumin levels can result in pseudohypocalcemia. a sent you an excellent article on hypocalcemia.
