Guest guest
Hi everyone My name is Tamara. I have been recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My mom has arthritis and I just have always assumed that I had that so this diagnosis came as quite a shock for me. I have been living with this for a long time. I cannot even remember when it started because it seems like it has always been this way. I finally saw my doctor about it because the over the counter meds that I've been using are no longer even coming close to helping with the pain. I use alleve, tylenol, ibuprofen, etc. Nothing works anymore. I am overweight and waiting for insurance approval for gastric bypass surgery. I hope to have the surgery in Dec or Jan. I take two different anti-depressants and a muscle relaxer. The muscle relaxer was the only thing my doctor prescribed for the fibromyalgia. It does help at bedtime to get me comfortable enough to fall asleep, but I wake up after it has worn off and toss and turn the rest of the night. What should I do? I need something to help with the pain. I am 29 years old and I don't want to live like this. I am married and we have a total of four kids. I have a five year old daughter that is autistic, bipolar, and ADHD. I just don't have the energy to deal with her sometimes. She is very physical and it is really hard some days. I also have a little boy that is 18 months old. So of course he is very active too. Thanks for listening Tamara ===== Tamara mom to : Ebony, 4 yrs -- asd, ADHD, bi-polar , 1 year wife to: Terry, love of my life __________________________________________________
