Guest guest
well let's hope not. He fits the profile for possibly being a responder, but I am not going to get too excited and then be too disappointed.Stan Kurtz wrote: That sounds to me like they are looking for a possible allergic reaction.- Stan> >> > Has anyone tried Dr. Megson's Vit A protocol with Bethanechol? Guest guest
They prefer for the child to be at a hospital or doctor's clinic because there is a minimal risk of anaphylactic shock or extreme allergic reaction. Watch out for wheezing, and difficulty in breathing. Counter medication as I know it is a shot of epinephrine given under the skin or into the muscle, or other medicines like antihistamines, bronchodilators, and corticosteroids.manefuto@... wrote: Dr. Megson is our dr. and we got words in two days with bethanechol plus vit a Mané Re: Vit A protocol/Bethanechol >> Has anyone tried Dr. Megson's Vit A protocol with Bethanechol? Guest guest
thanks for the explanation. i hope he's OK! lisa Re: Vit A protocol/Bethanechol My son's ABA teachers, who are with him 1:1 6 hours a day observed several absence episodes where he stared off into space and was unresponsive, including unresponsive to touch. The episodes were subtle and brief - 3-6 seconds. We might not have noticed this at home (we are very unfortunately always cooking and doing chores, so cannot observe him as continuously as they can at school when a teacher is in his face 100% of the time). The DAN immediately said to stop bethanechol and the pediatrician admitted him to the ER where he was admitted for 3 days observation and testing; a 20-minute EEG and MRI were "normal", and the hosp. neurologist refused to consider a 48-hour EEG (other ASD moms have reported their kids were seizing but 20-minute EEGs were "normal"). We got a second opinion, and this neurologist immediately agreed to a 24-hour EEG along with workup for mito disorder, Landau-Kleffner and Syndrome. We are holding our breath...Suzanne> > >> > > Yes, Wellness compounded our bethanechol > > > > > > Mané> > > > > > > > >> >>

Guest guest
Hello 1 tsp is a big amount ( 5ml ), is that what she prescribed? For our son is 0.25 ( 1/4 of 1ml ) twice a day and he weights 30 lbs. You are giving your son 20 times this amount, maybe I'm wrong, but I just checked our Rx, and that what it says, I hope you can clarify this.
