Guest guest
hi i don't know how old your dr is or what kind of Thyroid hormone(s) she is on.. but dizzyiness was one of my first symptoms. and it got much worse when i started taking armour again (after decades of synthroid- T4only) for me, the dizziness was caused by my longterm adrenal fatigue problem (currently testing as High cortisol). i also have tinnitus and dr said " fluid in the middle ear. i believe my aldosterone levels (another adrenal hormone) has contributed in some way to this problem tho Note: i have never had my levels tested. my dizziness has gotten Much better (even tho i am still slowly adding armour/decreasing synthroid) and my other adrenal signs have gotten better as well --but not my tinnitus,, which somehow may be related to food/allergies As well as the underlying autoimmune hypot. have you ever done the 24hr cortisol test? -Carol > > Hi everyone, > I have an update on my daughter's progress. Guest guest
Carol, My daughter is 7. She is taking L-thyroxine/liothyronine(9.5mcg/2.25mcg) for a little more than 1 month now. Her dizziness was much worse/and she had headaches too before diagnoses. The dizziness improved and almost completely went away for 2 weeks when she first started meds. Now it has worsened to almost most of the day...but the dizziness isn't too severe to impair her in play or activities...not like before diagnoses.. I talked to her doc...he sugggested that the dizziness might be because of such a big change(a quick drop) in her tsh just in one month could cause the dizziness. We are giving her less meds. for now to see if it helps. > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > I have an update on my daughter's progress. Guest guest
Hi , It seems to me if your dd had awful fainting then was put on compounded t3/t4 and it improved for a couple of weeks and now is coming back more meds would help. I know doc's take it real slow so not to shock the body etc. Your dd may improve with increased doses and may have to wait it out until it can be increased. When I was put on Armour I felt great for about three weeks and then started feeling bad again. Eventually with slow increases I felt better and stayed that way for longer periods of time until I finally found the right dose. In my case gluten blocked the Armour from being effective even at extremely high doses and only felt real improvement after I started eating gluten-free. It's a little inconvenient, but if you eat more natural you get used to it, especially if you feel the difference. Hope she keeps improving.
