Guest guest
Well, my life is anything but boring!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, a young man came into my hospital room and asked if I had time for a quick visit. Being tethered to the bed, I said sure, why not????? In comes this beautiful blond dog( I forgot the breed) and he was so well behaved. The owner had kibbles with him that he gave me to feed him, but some on my bed and then finally let the dog lay on the bed with me. Boy could my dog use some lessons!!!!!!!!!! This man visits the hospital every Wednesday afternoon and " visits " with those patients that are willing. He had a badge on so everything was all legitimate, plus my Ron was here. But what a cook surprise! I thought they only did it for the pediatric department. He proceeded to tell me that he got the dog from the pound $70.00 out the door including spaying and this dog was perfect. 3 years old and just the best little dog I have ever seen. They stayed a little less than 5 minutes and then they were gone. If only some of the hospital staff was as well trained as this dog is. Best medicine that I have ever receieved from this hospital or any other hospital for that matter. If I EVER get the use of my leg back, I would certainly think about getting into a program like this. Just something that picked up my day and I thought that I would share with those that I love! Guest guest
Hi Debs, It was so good to hear from you! You simply are amazing worrying about me while you are going through so much. I think I want my high heels to be electric orange...it is my hubby's favorite color and will go so well with us being in the fall season. I do think that I will need a Cabana Boy to take care of me over the next couple of days so if it is not too much trouble, call and tell him to catch a flight to Dallas first thing in the morning. I have heard of dogs visiting hospitals. I am so glad that it lifted your spirits. Take care of yourself my friend. LOL and hugs. Guest guest
Hi Debs, I'm glad the dog and you got to visit...I too have a dog from the pound I rescued and she is so friendly and cuddley I had wanted to get into the visit program here in town...but my Molly didn't pass the test..the dogs really are trained well...but my dog has a hearing problem from an injury as a puppy and doesn't always come on the first call so she wasn't eligible...it seems like such a neat program doesn't it...I hope you and your dog can get in to the program...hope things continue to improve from you....nice to see you posting....marge [ ] I had a visitor yesterday > Well, my life is anything but boring!!!!!!!!! > > Yesterday, a young man came into my hospital room and asked if I had time for > a quick visit. Guest guest
That¹s the best visitor you could have. Pound puppies can be the best dogs. My daughter just got a rescue beagle that is a nice dog. These hospital programs are so uplifting. Just when you¹re down in the dumps, they come to put a big smile on your face. When you get the use of your leg back, you¹ll have lots of fun with your pets.
