Guest guest
Exactly right …PWME & CFIDS should NOT get a flu shot or any other vaccination if possible…never mind the toxins, it is a big risk to mess with your immune system and activate it in this way IMHO. Anyway, some of us have such up-regulated systems anyway, like me, that I never actually get colds or flu, I just pick up a bug and feel yukky for a couple of days as my immune system whomps it. I think all this pushing of vaccines is a big money scam, the flu shot (which really is a jab in the dark as they only guess at the strain they think may come any give year), and that HPV one all and those ads of young women…who knows the long-term consequences??? Whenever something is heavily advertised like that I always get very suspicious. Aylwin xox
Guest guest
I was reading the Dr. Blaylock Wellness webmail yesterday...he cited a study that shows that elderly people (55 y.o.+) who had a flu vaccine 5 or more years in a row had a tenfold chance of developing Alzheimer's because of 2 potent neurotoxins found in all vaccines. I didn't find out the name of these n-toxins, as I can't currently afford the $70 plus for the newsletter, but I surely do believe they exist. I could look and see if I can find the study, but it sure gives me pause -- I would never willingly get a flu vaccine, even were I healthy. Take care and Merry Christmas, Kelli
Guest guest
Thanks for the info on flu vaccines. They always make me nervous. I am working in a hospital and they push it, but I declined because I am usually too run down and have a minor cold when it is flu vac time anyway. I do have to get an annual TB test, which they inject something under the skin and examine it a few days later and they talked me into the 1st of the Hep-B vaccines and I need 2 more in a few weeks or months. Is there reason to be concerned and not continue with the rest of the shots.? Thanks!
Guest guest
I personally would NOT get the Hep b vaccine. I have a friend who is an M.D., got the hep B vaccine, contracted CFIDS/ME shortly afterward and felt that there was a correlation between the vaccine and CFIDS/ME. Probably NOT the answer you wanted but do your research and arrive @ your own decision. diane Thanks for the info on flu vaccines. They always make me nervous. Guest guest
Meghan, YES!!! Be concerned, very concerned. Dr. Byron Hyde thinks that many people developed ME after Hep B vaccinations, can’t remember if it was a contaminated batch, a particular type or what though. You could just google Nightingale Research Foundation and the info should be there. I too got them in nursing school, about 7 years before I got ME though. Do check this out. Guest guest
I just retired after 30 years working as a paramedic and training officer. I got the worse case of flu in 1991 the year i did not get a shot. I was so sick and it felt like someone had stuck a hot poker down my throat. After that year it was well worth getting my shots . I got the pnuemonia vaccine 2 years ago after turning 50. With my immune system shot do to crohns and diabetes i was advised to do it. I did. and had minuim bad stuff happen. but to each their own. Guest guest
Hi Diane, well, for PWME there is a big risk of relapse or serious adverse reaction to any immunizations. Often our immune systems get up-regulated over the years, and so can respond badly and unpredictably. I can see where it might be a “lesser evil” than the flu for you, if your system is crashed. I know from friend with Crohn’s that it is the long term steroid use that crashes out the immune system. But with Crohn’s, it’s not like you have a lot of other treatment options <sigh>. Take care, and don’t get the flu this winter! Aylwin xox.
Guest guest
Hi Diane and Alwyn and others, Thank you for responding to my questions regarding the Hep B vaccine. I refused the flu shot, but since the Hep B vaccine is greatly recommended and I reallllllly do not want to get Hep B-- I researched before the 1st shot and found a lot of statements from CDC and medical sites about how there is very little risk at all and then I tried to google CFIDS and Hep-B vaccine and came up with little info. The result is that I did get the 1st of the series of 3 several weeks ago and will probably be due for the 2nd soon. Now that I hear what you are saying I wish I never got the first. However, it is done. MY QUESTION NOW IS: Since I already got Shot 1 is there any danger involved in not getting the next 2 done at all [and just abort the mission, so to speak ;-)] OR, given the fact that I already got the 1st is it better just to finish out the series and hope for the best?? Opinions please please! (I couldn't find anything on the Nightingale website). I really appreciate your knowledge and support. I finally finished graduate school and earned my doctorate in psychology. I am pretty high functioning, but working full time is extremely hard and I have not done it in years. I started a job at a psychiatric hospital six weeks ago and have had an awful respiratory infection for 3 weeks now and I am just DRAGGING through each day and sleeping all weekend. As when I have worked before, my quality of life is poor because all the energy I have is given up at work and then I am D-U-N- done. Anyway, I could go on about this because I feel especially exhausted today, but you know the drill. I greatly appreciate any knowledge, advice, support because I have so little. Most people do not know I have CFS/ME and fibro and chiari and EDS and anyone who does know really doesn't have much knowledge to UNDERSTAND and wants to know how I take care of myself and what my doctor says (they don't get it--) and all I can think is that I am trying to FUNCTION and get through today and I can't spend my life telling doctors my symptoms who roll their eyes and gloss over CFS/ME or pay thousands of dollar for the kind of care I really need. Oh boy.... time to go home now...I must focus on all that is positive...... and I am thankful that I am able to function and work (barely... but still). I am also thankful for the knowledge sharing and the people of this group. Thanks again (for listening and sharing info)... PS- Now that I know of Dr. Hyde and Nightingale, I may try to apply to get an appointment. Meghan M. Brasley, Psy.D. I just googled Hyde, Hepatitis B, and ME & /or CFS and got tons of info. Sorry, it’s true his site is not the most comprehensive, and a lot of his info is out there in interview form. These were just the cream of the crop, including one about a health care worker’s lawsuit arising from neurological damage from it. Perhaps less is more? As in, you might have gotten away with the first one, but perhaps not be so lucky with the boosters. First, you are messing with your immune system in unpredictable ways, and 2nd there does seem to be a connection, and finally 3d, you have to watch out for ingredients containing Mercury & /or Aluminum, both potent neurotoxins (Thimerosal is a big baddie). So as you can see this is a BIG issue with lots of politics behind it, if you google around some more you will find tons – if you have any energy after working that is! That’s why I did a bit of the work for you LOL! TC, Aylwin xox
Guest guest
Ah the Hep B vaccine or Recombavax. the first time i did the complete 3 when they started making it " recommended " . I was working the streets as a medic and had already stuck myself with a patient needle who was on chemo. God help me I had to do gammuglobin shot. and i thought my butt cheek was going to fall off it hurt so bad. Well at the year mark we all were told we needed to go and get a titer blood test done. (tells ya if you converted after getting the hep b 3).. and guess what not just me but the whole department had not. So we had to do it all again.. and 6weeks after the set, I converted this time. and just had to do the booster at the 10 year marks. not one bad side effect and was glad i took them cause i was exposed a lot.
