Guest guest
<< My wish right now is to " live while I'm alive " >> Heidi, did you get that from the new Bon Jovi song? ;-) I got that CD last week, and have been enjoying it so much. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora are such hunks! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Lots of Hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) And lots of love, Carol [ ] Hi ! Good luck with your new treatment plan! It would be fantastic if you could get off the insulin injections. It's wonderful that the methotrexate is working well for you. I know that when a something is working for me I try not to worry about the future too much and try to just enjoy the moment. I once heard a very wise saying, it goes something like " 99% of the things we worry about never happen " which I really retained and remind myself about whenever I'm busy worrying about something beyond my control. I hope you continue to have relief from the metho for many years. I've always been told by my doctor's that swimming was the best exercise as it puts no strain on the joints. Although my Rhemy insists that I can do any sport that I feel I could and would enjoy, she's more interested in me doing sports and doesn't seem to be too stressed about the joint jarring. She even encouraged me to carry on playing social volley ball (a Rheumy I saw in South Africa had said that I'd have to stop) I still play it once a week as long as I'm not having a flare, I'll admit I do pay for it the next morning and my hands, arms and knees are usually stiff and sore but I consider the pain to be worth it as I love spending the time with my friends. I'm lucky though, they are really gentle with me - they realize my restrictions and I'm not expected to be a shiny star - they always save me from the hard balls and make an effort to gently pass me anything they think I can handle. It's a bit frustrating sometimes but we laugh so much at my efforts that it makes it entertaining for everyone. My wish right now is to " live while I'm alive " and try to do as much as I can in the time that this disease is being relatively kind to me.
