Guest guest
Sorry , I am not home and am going back to surgery tomorrow @ 7:30 am for I & D for an infection and possible plastic surgery repair of the hole in that knee. Every day brings a new worry it seems. Debs
Guest guest
I just spoke with Debs. She is not home from the hospital yet. In fact, she will be insurgery tomorrow (Monday) morning again to try and repair a hole in the knee and do some plastic surgery. She is a little down, but is hoping that this will help. They have already delivered a hopsital bed and supplies to the house so that when she does go home, she will actually go home instead of to a nursing home. She still needs lots of prayers. Guest guest
Noooooooooooooooo, Debs! I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part. I'm sorry to hear that. How can they do the I & D AND plastic surgery? Or are we talking about different locations? Whatever the case, I wish you well. Sorry that you aren't home yet. Guest guest
Debs, I¹m sorry this procedure is so painful. I feel so bad for you. My knees ache just thinking about you. At least it has been successful, so you can start looking forward to the end of a very long and painful journey. Please don¹t hold back from saying anything in fear that it will scare others away from knee replacement. That would be like saying we only want to hear from the members that had good results from remicade, but if you had a bad reaction, to keep quiet. We all need to know the good and the bad of medications and procedures in order to make an informed decision. With every surgery, even the most minor surgery, things can go wrong. All of these things happened to your knee several years after your knee replacement. Before your patella fractured, the replacement was considered a success. Then one thing led to another and before long, a nightmare was brewing. With everything you are going through, staying positive is a difficult feat, but you still are managing to do it. Hold on to your faith Debs. It¹s carried you this far and it will carry you the rest of the way. You have a lot of prayers being said for you and they will be heard.
