Maybe it's that pressure that bothers me?

Does the rain bother anyone, esp. when it first starts?

The rain bothers me in summer. And the cool night air bothers me in the summer if I keep my windows open when I'm sleeping but I love that fresh air and it keeps me so cool.

Have to be all closed up like a hermit I suppose.

I was sneezing like crazy this morning when it was raining on the snow but I didn't know why. You just taught me something.

Re: Does the rain bother anyone, esp. when it first starts?

Yes! Both me and Rodney start sneezing just before it starts to rain. We both get all stuffed up, and sometimes do not know why, and then all of a sudden it starts to rain. Not sure why! It can be in either the winter or summer, but seems to be worse in the winter. Cindiadanaturkey8385webband wrote:

I also have severe aches in weird parts of my bones just before it

rains too....have always done that. One time it might be my big

toe...sometimes it is all over my body. I am sure that is due to the

pressure changes, I think?

The rain is my only savior in the

desert. I pray for it everyday. The humidity gets higher and the

particles in the air get lower, and I feel so much better. I know

others who have had problems with the rain at first. That fresh rain

smell that stirs up all the dirt in the air. I do have problems when

the barometric pressure changes when it starts raining.

Well the weather woman I am, It's actually the pressure system that causes your sinuses to swell and the air changing as it get's ready to rain stirs up the air no matter what time of year and that can set #1 your asthma off, #2 your allergies which can in turn set off your asthma.

I was also told during pollen season to keep the house closed up and have the a/c on don't sleep with your windows open if you have allergies also the humidity/dew can make your sinuses swell.

Just stuff I've learned in the past 2 years

Yeah I think we all do. Char, since your sinus surgeries do you get sinus headaches when a storm or H to L pressure system moves through? Thunderstorms are the worst for me, OMG I want to put my head in a locked box during those times.

I've never paid attention to storms and my asthma before or ever watched the

pressure system or related it to headaches. I've really never kept up with

reading all these e-mails before. It's good I am.

Check a reflexology map of the foot and see what part of the body the big toe pain leads to. It would be interesting.

I had several sinus surgeries and I could tell the family when a storm was coming before it was announced on tv. If the storms were really severe it would be a god awful MIGRAINE and I was physically sick with it, I took my journal to my PCP and he said yes it was true and was impressed that I took the time to document that. I do the same thing with my asthma.
