I know the

Pope VI clinic takes residents, and I don’t think they have one

right now. Dr. Hilgers did just hire a new young doctor to replace Dr. Pierson,

and she was once a resident there a few years ago.

hello

and help with obgyn residencies!

Hello to everyone!

I am a fourth year medical student who is currently applying to ob/gyn

residencies. I come from a pro-life family and am interested in pro-life

friendly residencies (which might also be NFP friendly). Any help or

suggestions would be greatly apprecitated. I have a list of some programs,

but want to be sure I look at everything I can. Thanks!

A point of clarification: Pope VI does not take residents for training in OBGYN. The Institute takes doctors who have completed their residency training, for fellowship training (advanced training beyond residency). Dr. Keefe has just completed her OBGYN residency training, and is now a fellow in training at the Institute.

Just a note about Franciscan Skemp in La Crosse. We have a Family Practice Residency, but not an Ob-Gyn residency. The FP residency is top notch and competitive. It is possible to be NFP only during this residency. We do not have a staff NFP only Ob-Gyn practicing here, however. We do have a Creighton-trained Nurse Practitioner NFP only, who is wonderful to work with! If this would fit into your plans, contact me off list at: pavela.stephen@....

Dear ,

You could add Franciscan Skemp Healthcare to your list. It is in LaCrosse, WI but it is affiliated with Mayo Clinic. It is more pro-life and supportive to NFP than any other hospital I am aware of. Try www.franciscanskemp.org or www.mayo.edu to see their websites. Good luck with your search!

I had been told by one of the nurses there

that Dr. Keefe did rotate through there during her 4 year residency and was now

back for her fellowship.

I would suggest contacting the Pope VI institute and speak with Alice.

She knows of OB/Gyn residents who are in programs that are NFP friendly
