Hi,

I'm new to this group and to the use of DMSO. I recently developed some

eye problems and I would like to make eyewash solution with DMSO. I would

like to put the DMSO in a smaller glass container so I can easily use the eye

droppers. I also want to reduce the risk of contaminating the larger bottle

of DMSO. The only problem is I'm not sure what container is safe.

Most glass containers have a glass lid with silicone to keep the lid

intact. I am worried that the DMSO might leech toxins from the silicone. I've

tried to find information on this but have come empty handed. Also, what

other kind of containers would you recommend?

Thanks,

Hi , welcome to the group... Are you familiar with Colloidal Silver

(EIS) ?? I have used a mixture of CS & DMSO for eye problems both in family

members & our pets... I use a small glass spray bottle ( about 2 ounces)

& add 10 -15 drops of DMSO. The DMSO is the carrier..takes the CS to the

problem & the CS goes to work.....I am not sure about the silicon...My spray

bottle has a plastic top & I don't think it is a problem.. I'm sure BG or

someone will comment on that aspect for you... Lois { I got the spray

bottle from Ode, a member of the group, It is great & has been used over &

over...}}

Silicone is just about the most inert material you will probably find to use

with DMSO as a lid sealer. Just store it upright so it is not inconstant

contact with the lid.

DMSO and plastic containers is an on going debate. Although

Labs does sell in plastic containers, it is not just any plastic. Sorry I

don't recall the exact number or terminology. But it is often discussed

on the list.

However the archive search function on Yahoo does not work at the

moment, long standing issue unfortunately.

Maybe someone on the list recalls the info? Or perhaps it is in the

files somewhere? I wish I could direct you to better info but it's

just not on the top of my brain right now. LOL

I buy and store my DMSO in plastic, others prefer the comfort of

glass and Labs will ship in glass when requested. If nothing

else you might contact them and ask.

www.jacoblab.com

It is owned by Stanley 's son and sells his approved DMSO

formulations. Dr is the developer of DMSO.

I have heard a lot of people talking about Colloidal Silver, however, I'm not

very familiar with it. Although, it might work for my eye problem. Three months

ago I was hit in the eye by blunt force and I've developed a traumatic cataract

in the anterior of my lens. I've read through various messages in this group,

and other websites like silver-list. I'm getting ready to use MSM eye drops and

N-Acetyl-Carnosine (Brite Eyes III) eye drops about 10 to 15 minutes apart in

the morning and late afternoon. Then at night, I was thinking about bathing my

eye in DMSO and Distilled Water with an eye cup. Do you think CS would help with

eye problems like my traumatic cataract? I could mix the CS into the eye cup,

but I just don't know enough about it yet...

I think I will use the glass container with the silicone lid. I don't think the

DMSO will be touching the lid so hopefully everything will be okay. I was also

thinking about buying a small glass container with a cork as a lid.

I have read about the plastic issue, and I think it's the HDPE plastic that is

safe, but it does make me a little weary. I did recently order the DMSO from

's Lab and asked for a glass container :). Hopefully it'll be safe to use

on my eye.

Do you know if it's safe to use stainless steel measuring spoons with MSM and

DMSO? I read that stainless steel is safe with DMSO, so I assumed it would be

safe with MSM as well. But then earlier today, I was at a pharmacy and the

nutritionist there warned me that the metal might react with the MSM and it

could be hazardous if I try making eye drops with it. She told me it might be

safer using a plastic measuring spoon.

Hi, you may wish to consider trying Swedish Bitters for your eyes. It has

been recommended by some physicians in Scandinavia for a long time to deal

with cataracts.

It can be applied to the lid, and with the little finger, dabbed into the

corner of the eye near the nose and along the lash line. It does really

sting for about one minute. I use it regularly as a preventative to

cataracts, as per Treben's suggestion in her book " Health Through

God's Pharmacy " . I keep a small container by my computer for when my eyes

tire.and find it very beneficial.

Not sure if it works for traumatic cataracts but the milk of a fresh coconut

is a cataract remedy.

You may find info at www.earthclinic. com on this.
