Guest guest
I'd once hear if it floated it was empty if it sank it was full, some of the instructions that come with the inhalers will tell you weather or not to put them in water. I use a black marker and mark each inhaler when I've used it Terry Head Coach to the Chaney Bull DogsI know God will not give me anything I can't handle. The Qvar I can sometimes taste slightly, though only if I've not eaten / drunk anything with astrong taste before taking it. When I know they're getting close to the end, I keep testing it before takig it, but that way, I'm wasting a lot of it. They really should put a counter on it. The brown inhaler is not so bad as I take it regularly, so can keep tabs on it easier, but as I rarely use my blue inhaler, it's so difficult to guess how much is in there. I find that there is really no taste to Symbicort - sometimes I wonder if I am just inhaling nothing. I guess something is being inhaled - because it does help. Donna Re: SymbicortThank you , Alana. It was not the report I was looking for. What I read was on Yahoo news, maybe 2 weeks old? Did not have symbicort inthe headline, just named it as smbicort having one of the ingredients thatcould lead to heart attacks.Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with symbicort, for I do notlike their inhaler as well as the disc type. There are times when the inhaler seems to stick and I don't think I get thewhole amount, also I've had two inhalers that do not give me the full 30days.For $300.- and some , they should be more reliable.I've called AstraZeneka and they said they are working on the counterthing, which also is a pain in the neck , compared to the disc type.also like the convenience of just one small inhaler in my purse, instead ofthe disc and pulmicort.C-M------------ --------- --------- ------
Guest guest
You can buy the Aero Chambers on line or get a dr's prescription for one, It's cheaper to buy it at Amazon.com I don't use any of my inhalers without a chamber. That may be what cause the Thrush, I used the inhalers yesterday without the chambers, Who knows what sets this mess off I just know I did not enjoy anything I ate or drank today. Donna RE: Re: Symbicort One thing that could help ya with the Symbicort inhaler, is it has acalendar on it so you know how many times it's been used I've found that Iget less around the 22'd time of using that one canister, so I always keepsamples on hand to cover the rest of the month. I had read somewhere aboutthat, I guess because the pressure in the can is less as the amount in itdrops. I personally didn't like the disk after using Symbicort when I usethe Symbicort with the chamber I find I got more of the medication into mylungs instead of my MOUTH which in turn gave me better results. Guest guest
I was given an aero chamber by the nurse at my old doctors. Don't use it, though, now, as my main problem was the taste of my old steroid inhaler, as it caused me to cough really badly. The spacer diluted the taste. But I can't taste the Qvar so its not a problem. Jenn Tha can tek t'lass outta Yorkshire...! Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. Guest guest
I find that I get more of the meds into my lungs when using the spacer than with out. I have 3 chambers, one for home, one in my emergency kit and one in my soccer bag. IN all honesty I don't think I'd go back to the old way of doing it.
