Guest guest
Hi There is a note at the end I wanted to share about a 5 year old boy child who could not tolerate CLO and now does. Personally, I would not do the two-day high dose vitamin A protocol (a very strong anti-viral protocol) for at least two months after starting Valtrex. I am conservative and I would definitely defer to Stan. Vitamin A in an antioxidant or other multivitamin would not be a problem. We did our second round of the 2 day Vitamin A protocol while on Valtrex, but I it was at least 2 and maybe three months into Valtrex. Some people have seen some amazing gains after the 2-day protocol. We did not, but the gains could have been masked by HHVI and other viruses. His main three viruses are HHVI, EBV and measles. Per my DAN, he has documented decreases in visual stims, improved balance and reduction in OCD as the main benefits. Lots of people have done bethanechol while on valtrex. Ideally you want to be on CLO for at least two months before bethanechol. Also, I would not add a new protocol for at least the first month on Valtrex. We did that to document his tolerance and response. Again, I am conservative, so that is definitely IMO. For example, we did Valtrex for 2 months, introduced HBOT, and then a month later did the second round of the vitamin A. ************************** Also, a friend just put started her son (bipolar/ADHD -- 5 years old) on CLO and he could not tolerate it. The DAN had them stop and then do three solid months of anti-oxidants, slowly builiding up the dose. They have bioflavinoids in the mix. After the 3 months on the anti-oxidants (Perque, grapeseed extract, etc) he now tolerates the CLO and is thriving. I do not know what there next step is -- I think zinc, taurine and then MB12. Guest guest
Vera, Would you mind sharing what the two-day high dose vitamin A protocal is exactly? How much CLO did you give or was it given in another way. I want to talk to our DAN about this and I'd like to know what it consists of. We're considering this protocal once we've been on the Valtrex for a good length of time (ie: 60-90 days). I checked out Dr. Megson's website but it seems like it's not been updated in some time. Thank you for sharing so much vital information with the group!
