Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Gosh I keep forgetting to mention this to the group but I finally went to try out that Bowen Therapy! I’ve done about 4 sessions now. It’s quiet strange and I was really skeptical but I must be honest my back pain is gone (and I’d had 6 weeks of physio and ultrasound on it that didn’t help at all). I had pain in two parts of my back – the top part, my shoulders, muscles along my spine, really stiff burny pain. And at the bottom on the right hand side just above my buttocks. She treated the top part but I forgot to mention the bottom part. The top part is no longer sore and the bottom part is. It’s weird as it is so subtle I honestly don’t know if it’s from the Bowen or if it just went away, but it had been there for months. I also noticed I had so much more energy after the first session but that went away in about a week and never came back after the others so it might have been Arthur giving me a rare break from the fatigue? I’m still a bit confused about the benefits but if it’s something you have available and can easily afford it might be worth a try, especially for those of you with Fibroglymania sp!!!???. It didn’t help my arthritis pain but seems to have helped the muscle pain and stiffness in my back and shoulders. I also started swimming with a good friend on Monday (we’re going to go every Monday evening after work). It was so great, we did 500 meters in about half an hour, it’s amazing how unfit I’ve become! When I was at school I used to swim for my district, I would swim for 2 to 3 hours at a time no problem ha ha! I think it was the moment I was the most grateful I’d given up smoking LOL! I thought I was going to die and then reminded myself how I would have felt I hadn’t! It’s great doing it with a friend, we really motivated each other. I’ve also started a stretch class on Wednesday evenings (I’m going tonight) it’s great and is also really helping the pain I’ve been having in my back. So that’s the latest news on my health kick! Thought I would share. Hugs, Heidi _________________________________________________________________ Unlimited Internet access -- and 2 months free!
