Guest guest
Since there has also been some stuff with tomatoes here (hopefully, this is right. It's been a busy few days...), I thought this was relevant. Happy eating! Tracie HHN Re: The salmonella tomato scare Yes! If the vegies were properly washed, we wouldn't have this problem. We are being set up. The harvesting and transportation/storage methods we use to get food from the farm to the table has not changed much in 100 years. Suddenly we have a problem with spinnach, tomatoes, etc. Proper washing, using ozonated water, would eliminate this problem but the greedy medical industry wants us all sick. Don't be suprised that the answer will come from technology. Irradiating all food will kill all pathogens. But doing that will kill all of us as well. If our foods are allowed to be bombarded with X-ray, all of the vital life forces locked into the foods will be destroyed. The enzymes we require that can only come from our foods will be killed just like it is when we put food in the microwave. Our bodies require these enzymes. When they are all gone, we will sicken and die. Its an improvement upon the Kissinger paln to reduce the World's population. Vaccinate them, poison them, put chlorine and fluoride in their water, put amalgams in their teeth...Just make sure they all die...>> I have a question which has been rolling around in my brain since they > found samonella in tomatoes and it took the FDA forever to even narrow > down the source of those tomatoes. > > It has occurred to me that if you fear samonella on your tomatoes but > feel you MUST have them (my husband will not eat grilled bratwurst > without them) that, first, you steer clear of the Roma and round > tomatoes which they say are the culprits...most stores have taken them > away, but some may have not...SECOND - and this is my question - Can we > not just wash the tomatoes very well and get rid of the samonella? Guest guest
I don't see why it wouldn't. Organic just means no pesticides, correct? I usually wash our produce by soaking it in water with apple cider vinegar added...I know this gets rid of some unwanted visitors...but am not sure if it would affect salmonella. Bonnie i only buy organic produce. this probably doesn't apply to organic, correct?? kathy HHN Re: The salmonella tomato scare Yes! If the vegies were properly washed, we wouldn't have this problem.
