Guest guest
That's really frustrating, Sharon. At least you are having a lot of baseline tests done. That way, you will have something to compare to in the future. The physician who said that you can have RA but no positive labs is correct. There is no one test or set of tests that can make the diagnosis or rule it out. Your clinical presentation is much more important. I hope you can find a new rheumatologist who can review those x-rays and come up with a better explanation. Good luck! She said the x-rays looks ok. She does not know what is causing my joint pain. > > Prior to the appt. with the Rhuemy yesterday the I talked with the x ray dept and he said I had something going on both sides of the x-rays and to make sure to bring them back because the MD wanted to compare them in a few months. > > My MD has a different decision; she says I can have RA and not have it show up on the test. The x-rays of my hands show a recess of bone in the ulnar styloid (a bone in my wrist) and the cervical spine shows loss of lordosis; which is straighting of the spine of the neck. I should have a C curve. Both of which are related to RA. > > I just don't know who or what to believe anymore! > > I live about 30 minutes out of Seattle, if someone knows a rheumy with some answers please send the name and address. > > Thanks > > Sharon
